SIFI VRO CONDUCTS MEDICAL-DENTAL MISSION IN URC-SURE PASSI

For the first time since the pandemic in 2020, the Sugar Industry Foundation, Inc. (SIFI) revisits Iloilo partner mill for a collaborative medical-dental mission.

According to SIFI VRO Health Officer Milen Joy Abad, the collaboration with Universal Robina Corporation Sugar and Renewables (URC-SURE) – Passi is the fourth and last medical-dental mission rollout for the whole year in Visayas. It was held in Garita Elementary School, Brgy. Garita, San Enrique, Iloilo.

In this event, a total of 233 individuals benefitted from the medical consultations, while 70 availed the dental services. Free haircut was also provided for by the Armed Forces of the Philippines to 74 dependents.

The mission was deemed a success with the excellent pool of doctors who offered their services for the sugar workers and dependents. Medicines were provided free-of-charge to aid the doctors’ prescriptions to the sugar beneficiaries.

This event was organized with the active participation of URC-SURE Passi’s HR Manager, Ma. Janice Lovely Cadalso, together with their coordinators, Rodelyn Onatis, Jessel Jacildo, and Grace Farah Panes. The SIFI VRO team was headed by Health Officer Milen Joy Abad, joined by Arlene Lozada, Angelica Hebionada, and Mary Briseis Dequinto.
