The Sugar Industry Foundation, Inc. (SIFI) Health Pillar kicked off 2023 in a partnered distribution of health kits to the south of Negros with Planters Association –Negros Inc. (PASON) in Binalbagan on January 13, 2023.
Led by Norelyn Dela Cruz, SIFI Health Project Officer, the foundation aims to assist the sugar workers with health kits containing essential types of medicines fit for their daily activities. The kit contains multivitamins, paracetamol, alcohol, face masks, and brochures on COVID-19.
A total of 110 COVID Prevention Kits were distributed in the Municipality of Binalbagan and its nearby areas. Collectively, 500 people have gratefully benefited from this.
Since 2020, SIFI has assisted more than 14,000 households and more than 67,000 family members through the COVID Prevention Kits.
