The Sugar Industry Foundation, Inc. (SIFI) continues to hone its scholars through a leadership training and values formation seminar.
With SIFI’s thrust to feed the minds, train the hands, and nourish the hearts of sugarcane industry workers and dependents, the annual leadership training and values formation seminar took place in December 2024.
A total of 36 scholars attended the 3-day in-house seminar in Talisay City, Negros Occidental, while 30 scholars participated in the two-day training at Valencia City, Bukidnon.
The seminars focused on unlocking leadership potentials, recognizing one’s strengths, passions, and areas for growth that could help predict certain behaviors in their leadership. In-depth workshops and activities were provided for by the resource speakers, Ana Lea Reyes and Jessy Mark Pareja.
A fellowship lunch was held in culmination of the seminar that was joined by the SIFI board, SIFI staff and partners from sugar mills and planters’ associations. A raffle draw, sponsored by various individuals and organizations, was conducted to spice up the event. Cash prizes and home essentials were brought home by the scholars.
