A jam-packed month was faced by the Luzon-Mindanao Regional Office (LMRO) as they rolled out medical-dental missions in Tarlac, Batangas, and Bukidnon.
The Sugar Industry Foundation, Inc. (SIFI) LMRO conducted 4 medical-dental missions in July in partnership with different mills and planters associations.
In Tarlac, the medical-dental mission was held in partnership with Central Azucarera de Tarlac in Brgy. Parang, Concepcion. A total of 249 individuals accessed the free medical and dental consultations, as well as free medicines.
A total of 294 individuals were catered to by the medical-dental mission in Brgy. Dao, Tuy, Batangas. This was in partnership with URC SURE-Balayan.
In Bukidnon, 2 missions were done in partnership with Busco Sugar Milling Company, Inc. in Brgy. Kapitan Juan, Lantapan, Bukidnon, and Crystal Sugar Central, Inc. in Brgy. Malipayon, Pangantucan, respectively. A total of 587 sugar workers and dependents benefitted from the medical-dental mission.
A series of medical-dental missions will continue nationwide to extend quality healthcare services to sugar workers and their dependents.
