SIFI together with other National Child Labor Committee (NCLC) was part of the working group during the national celebration of World Day Against Child Labor (WDACL) sa Pilipinas 2018. The theme of the event was “Ligtas sa Paggawa, Malusog na Batang Malaya” dedicated to the children who were victims of child labor. It was held last June 23, 2018 at San Andres Sports Complex, Manila.
Interactive sessions for children like face painting, games, puppet show, story telling, mini concert and many more activities happened during the event. It made the day more meaningful since over 700 participants from different organizations including the public audience joined the celebration. The activity is in line with the observance of World Day Against Child Labor to raise awareness on the plight of child laborers and to demonstrate the country’s solidarity in the worldwide campaign against child labor.
