Increasing accountability in the age of the new media

Technology has been integrated in the lives of its consumers, SIFI offered a second Social Media Management Seminar-Workshop to its scholars aimed to capacitate participants in the responsible use of social media, and other web based applications on July 03, 2017 at the SIFI Training Center, Talisay City.

The seminar-workshop was participated by 31 SIFI Scholars, which included discussions on distinguishing certain satire or hoax websites, fake news, fake photos, memes to name a few. Further, the learning activity was aimed to raise awareness among its participants the risk, and responsibility of each digital user.

USLS Chairperson of the Communications Department, Hannah Papasin-Mariveles facilitated the learning session where she encouraged each participant develop their sense of responsibility and ethical awareness, especially online. / Angelica M. Hebionada, Training Specialist
