About 104 SIFI scholars from Luzon actively participated in the EDAP Scholars General Assembly and Orientation Meeting held in Tarlac and Batangas last September and October 2019. With the efforts of the Program Coordinator and Project Officers, the gatherings were successfully held wherein various learnings were experienced.
Among the agenda were orientation about the Sugar Industry Foundation, Inc. (SIFI) and RA6982 wherein SIFI’s 4 Pillars of Development were discussed. The different programs under each pillar and the EDAP guidelines resulting to a productive session were also addressed. Aside from the orientation, teambuilding exercises were facilitated helping the scholars and coordinators to get along well. At the end of every activity, these empowered scholars were motivated to strive hard in reaching their goals.
