The Sugar Industry Foundation, Inc. (SIFI) joins the National Children’s Month celebration alongside its partner ARBOs under the Child Labor Mitigation Program.
Eight out of the nine agrarian reform beneficiaries organizations (ARBOs) under SIFI’s Child Labor Mitigation Program (CLMP) joined this year’s National Children’s Month celebration.
Awareness-raising sessions on child labor and child rights were briefly given to the ARBOs’ respective communities. The gatherings were mainly focused on the NCM’s theme – OSAEC-CSAEM Wakasan: Kaligtasan at Karapatan ng Bawat Batang Mag-aaral, Ipaglaban! – which highlighted salient issues and the dangers of online sexual exploitation of children.
Various social workers and resource speakers were invited to the communities to talk about the NCM theme. Interactive games connected to the topic were facilitated by the ARBO Child Rights Advocates to engage the children into the discussion of their rights and protection from online sexual abuse.

In line with the month’s worth of activities, the Hacienda Virgen Duplex Workers Association (HAVIDWA), from the RSS Integrated ARBO Child Labor and PPE Program, represented SIFI’s ARBOs in the Department of Labor and Employment – Negros Occidental Field Office’s celebration of the National Children’s Month on November 29, 2025 at the Provincial Capitol Lagoon. The members and children of HAVIDWA participated in DOLE-NOFO’s walk-for-a-cause and program. SIFI also donated school supplies sets to DOLE-NOFO for their Project Angel Tree activities in the coming months.
