The Sugar Industry Foundation, Inc. (SIFI) will continue to follow its mandate of leading its scholars and beneficiaries toward empowerment and self-reliance this 2022. With this in mind, SIFI conducted a total of 12 skills training webinars in the months of February to March.

SIFI conducted 2 sessions on “Time Management: Keeping Students’ Productivity and Engagement in the New Normal” and 3 sessions on “Life after College: Preparing Students for the Job Market in the New Normal” with resource speaker Anita Abad, 2 sessions on “The Science of Happiness: A Basic Ingredient of Success with Jeric Manalili, and one session of “Shifting from Mixed Mindset to Growth Mindset” with Lee Vergel Estacio, as well as 4 sessions on “Citizen Values Education and What Governance and Elections Mean to Me” with Marie Therese V. Jochico, EdD.
A total of 368 SIFI scholars from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao have benefited from the skills training webinars.

Adapting to the challenges brought about by the limitations set due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Sugar Industry Foundation, Inc. moved its skills training from face-to-face to online. For 2 years now, online trainings for SIFI scholars, mill workers, and planter associations were conducted either via Google Meet or Zoom.
