SIFI CELEBRATES 2026 WDACL IN NEGROS OCCIDENTAL

This year, the Sugar Industry Foundation, Inc. (SIFI) celebrated the 2026 World Day against Child Labor (WDACL) across 36 Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Organizations (ARBOs) in Negros Occidental.

The 2026 WDACL was celebrated by ARBOs under SIFI’s Child Labor Mitigation Program and the Integrated ARBO Child Labor and PPE (IACAP) Program. Various activities and campaigns were patterned from this year’s theme: Ikaw, Ako, Tayo: Sama-samang Pagkilos para sa Batang Malaya – Red Card to Child Labour: Fair play for children, decent work for adults.

School supplies, snacks, and tokens were given to the attendees of the celebration. Several ARBOs collaborated with their respective barangays and schools to cater to a wider audience. The Child Rights Advocates, who are SIFI’s frontliners in promoting child rights/child labor awareness, strengthen their thrust in prioritizing children’s rights, education, and wellness through different programs in their areas.

Several ARBOs have yet to celebrate the 2026 WDACL this July.
